This page sets out the general conditions governing access to and use of the website www.slow-soaps.com (hereinafter the "Site"), pursuant to Decree-Law no. 7/2004 of 7 January (e-commerce) and other applicable legislation. Use of the Site implies full reading and acceptance of this Legal Notice.

Slow.Soaps, as an entity marketing cosmetic products, is in the process of registration with INFARMED – National Authority for Medicines and Health Products, I.P.

2. Terms of Use of the Site

Access and browsing of the Site are free of charge and generally do not require registration. To make purchases in the Online Store, receive commercial communications, or access certain features, a user account must be created.

By accessing, browsing, or using the Site, the user expressly and unreservedly accepts this Legal Notice and the current Terms and Conditions. If the user does not agree, they must refrain from using the Site.

The user agrees to:

  • Provide true, accurate, and up-to-date information, especially in required fields.
  • Have legal capacity to contract and be of legal age to make purchases.
  • Safeguard their access credentials (username and password) and take responsibility for their misuse.
  • Not use the Site for unlawful purposes or purposes contrary to good faith and public order.
  • Not introduce viruses or malicious code, or perform any action that may damage the company’s systems, suppliers, or third parties.
  • Not access third-party accounts or breach the Site’s security measures.

Slow.Soaps reserves the right to suspend or cancel access for users who violate these conditions, without any right to compensation.

3. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site, including but not limited to trademarks, trade names, logos, texts, images, photographs, illustrations, design, graphics, videos, and software, is the exclusive property of BBS - Produtos de Bem Estar, Lda. or third parties who have authorised its use, and is protected by national and European Union intellectual property and copyright laws.

Access to the Site does not grant any license, waiver, or transfer of these rights, whether total or partial. Reproduction, distribution, public communication, transformation, exploitation, or any other use of the content without prior written authorisation from Slow.Soaps is strictly prohibited.

It is also prohibited to remove, bypass, or manipulate copyright notices or technical protection measures.

4. Limitation of Liability

Slow.Soaps strives to keep the Site available and updated using all technical means at its disposal. However, within the limits permitted by law, it does not guarantee nor accept responsibility for:

  • Continuous availability, permanent accessibility, or absence of errors in Site content.
  • Presence of viruses or other harmful elements on the Site or server.
  • Failures, interruptions, or delays in data transmission due to the Internet, telecommunications networks, or force majeure events.
  • Damage to the user’s software or equipment resulting from use of the Site.
  • Consequences arising from false or incomplete information provided by the user.

Slow.Soaps reserves the right to suspend, modify, restrict, or permanently discontinue access to the Site, with or without prior notice.

Nothing in this Legal Notice excludes or limits liability where such exclusion is prohibited by law, particularly regarding consumer rights and legal product warranties (two-year warranty period, under Decree-Law no. 84/2021).

5. Dispute Resolution and Complaints Book

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. For the resolution of any dispute arising from the use of the Site, the courts of the District of Lisbon shall have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection laws.

Alternative Consumer Dispute Resolution (ADR): under Law no. 144/2015 of 8 September, in the event of a consumer dispute, users may refer to an alternative dispute resolution entity. A list of available entities can be found at www.consumidor.gov.pt.

European Online Dispute Resolution Platform (ODR): users may also submit disputes via the European Commission platform available at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
